Entry-level EV technician program from Blast Detroit. Two-part model starts with an EV Owners Empowerment Bootcamp (for owners, prospective buyers, fleet managers, elected officials) covering safe operation and basic maintenance, followed by advanced education/training for entry-level EV auto technicians.

8-week, blended pre-apprentice program covering combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicle fundamentals, diagnostics, and high-voltage safety. Includes hands-on shop labs, EV/HEV battery testing & BMS basics, electrical/electronics, sensors & controls, and maintenance. Prepares participants for ASE study and connects graduates with placement support.

Entry-level certification on core EV concepts for talent entering assembly/production or continuing into EV training pathways. Exam may be pursued independently or with an optional Tooling U-SME prep (not required). Proctored online; identify a manager/teacher/HR proctor and submit the Proctor Form ≥2 weeks before the exam.

Expert-led EV courses (online and in-person) covering batteries, high-voltage safety, charging standards (e.g., J3400), diagnostics/software, and manufacturing quality. CEUs/PDHs available on select courses.

Intro certificate focused on EV basics and high-voltage safety. Covers hazards, disable/verify procedures, PPE, lockout/tagout concepts, and safe shop practices—preparing learners for entry EV work or further study.
