Getting Started & Accounts
The EV Workforce Portal is Michigan’s one-stop platform for locating, comparing, and sharing training programs, funding opportunities, and workforce development resources in the state’s growing EV and advanced mobility sector. Developed by the University of Michigan’s Electric Vehicle Center in collaboration with stakeholders across Michigan, the portal streamlines access to training, funding, and workforce tools for employers and partners. To learn more or get involved, contact us at [email protected].
This portal is designed for business owners, HR leaders, and workforce professionals in the EV manufacturing and supply sectors, as well as training providers, economic development professionals, and funders seeking a centralized resource to support EV workforce growth.
While job seekers may find certain training programs or events useful, the portal does not currently focus on job postings or individual career pathways. For job opportunities and comprehensive career resources, visit Pure Michigan Talent Connect (https://www.mitalent.org/), a platform connecting Michigan’s job seekers with employers and supporting organizations across the state.
An account is not required for basic browsing or searching. Employers, consultants, and partners can create a free account to bookmark resources or submit content.
Click “Register” at the top of the page. Complete the simple registration form with your work email. After verification, you can personalize your dashboard, save searches, and unlock additional features.
Navigating the Portal
Enter a job title, skill, or topic in the Search Bar (e.g., “EV technician training,” “upskilling grants”). Use filters on the results page - such as Workforce Role, Company Size, Location, or Funding Type - to pinpoint relevant options.
Filters include:
- Workforce topic (training, grants, HR planning)
- Industry or supply chain segment
- Company size or region
- Funding type or eligible applicant
Apply several filters at once to quickly target the programs or resources that match your needs.
Sign in to your account, then click the bookmark icon next to any listing. View all saved resources in your personalized dashboard.
