IXR EV Mobility — Empowering Electric Vehicle Technicians for the Future
Entry-level EV technician program from Blast Detroit. Two-part model starts with an EV Owners Empowerment Bootcamp (for owners, prospective buyers, fleet managers, elected officials) covering safe operation and basic maintenance, followed by advanced education/training for entry-level EV auto technicians. Curriculum covers: hybrid/EV system types & history; normal operation; LV/HV DC & AC circuits; proper PPE; battery types, charging/discharging/balancing; inverters/converters; electric motors; hybrid transaxles; EV motors & gear reduction; ICE fundamentals; cooling loops; regenerative braking; HVAC. Hands-on emphasis; placement support and ASE prep.
