Schoolcraft College — Mechatronics Technology
Integrative training program combining mechanical, electrical, fluid power, and computer technologies to control automated machine systems. Students learn mechanics, sensors, basic electronics, pneumatics/hydraulics, PLC control logic, and robot programming. Prepares graduates for careers in robotics, automation, manufacturing, and high-tech production environments. Protective shop clothing and eye protection required. Academic advising recommended as not all courses are offered each semester.

Mechatronics Curriculum
Covers mechanics, sensors, electrical/electronics fundamentals, hydraulics and pneumatics, control logic, PLC programming, robot programming and control, safety, and integrated system troubleshooting. Emphasizes cross-disciplinary training for automated systems used in manufacturing and industrial environments.
