Schoolcraft College — Welding Technology
Hands-on welding training offered through Schoolcraft College, including two certificates (Welding Fabrication and Pre-Apprenticeship) and an AAS degree (Welding Fabrication Technology). Students train with MIG, TIG, plasma, arc, and oxy-gas cutting technologies. The Pre-Apprenticeship is developed with local trade unions for safety and jobsite readiness. The AAS program prepares learners for roles in industrial and manufacturing environments including prototype building, machine tool assembly, construction and green technologies. Class sizes are limited to support individualized instruction and analytical skill development.
